A small works gallery and ponderings about brush and paint, by oil painter, Michelle Sonoqui Gillette

The paintings that are hung on these virtual walls, range from completed work, to works-in-progress. The process is a bit like fly fishing, as I work to push the paint and composition toward an abstract direction - only to reel it back in again, to find the sweet spot for detail and clarity.
Wishing you, Steven (Steebee Weebie), a very special celebration of your birth year! The best ever - because this is truely an exciting new "life chapter" for you ;] Keep that zest for life that you have always had; the one that was fearless, the day we taught you how to ride a two-wheel bike! And continue to "center" your creative spirit. I applaud your ability to marshall an extraordinary focus of technical and creative ability, that so many years ago, crafted an extraordinary bird house and metal sculptures; and could tear down and re-build a dirt bike the night before a race. It is that same spirit and focus, that enables us to work through just about any challenge that comes our way. Happy Birthday, Steven!
